About This Place

Located in the heart of Las Vegas on Koval Lane, Village Pub & Cafe is a quintessential American pub and restaurant that has proudly stood the test of time for over 40 years. This venerable establishment offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of classic neighborhood diners and old-school casino cafes, making it a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike who crave hearty, satisfying meals paired with attentive service.

The cuisine at Village Pub & Cafe shines with traditional pub fare elevated through quality ingredients and big, generous portions that never disappoint. Their signature Fish & Chips stands out as a timeless favorite—crispy Icelandic cod enveloped in a famously light beer batter, served with perfectly seasoned steak fries, tangy tartar sauce, malt vinegar, and fresh lemon wedges. Diners consistently say it’s the best in Las Vegas, and it’s easy to see why with each golden bite delivering delicate flakiness and a satisfying crunch.

For steak lovers, the Double King Cut Prime Rib, cooked to a luscious medium rare, is a true indulgence, especially when paired with seasonal garlic green beans, a baked potato, and a fresh house salad. The Top Sirloin with eggs and toast and the equally comforting Chicken Fried Steak offer a taste of classic American comfort food, rich with savory, home-cooked flavors. Meanwhile, the Half Rack Baby Back Ribs and NY Steak & Fried Shrimp combine smoky, juicy meat with satisfying crispiness, bringing variety to those who crave surf-and-turf delights.

If you’re looking for something to start your meal, the Loaded Fries, smothered with melted cheddar, crispy bacon, green onions, and a dollop of sour cream, or the Vegas Shrimp Cocktail with fresh shrimp and tangy house-made sauce, tease the palate and set the tone for a memorable dining experience. Soups like the deeply flavorful French Onion and the creamy Clam Chowder add a soothing warmth and complexity that perfectly complement the robust entree offerings.

The dining vibe here effortlessly blends a retro charm with welcoming hospitality. Guests often note how the friendly and professional service enhances their visit—Priscilla, the hostess, receives repeated praise for her genuine care and attentiveness that make guests feel truly valued. Servers like Ayanna further elevate the experience by delivering timely service with a smile, creating a relaxed yet polished atmosphere where comfort and quality are paramount.

After a fulfilling meal, indulge in a dessert like the homemade cheesecake made fresh daily, or the That Really Big Ice Cream Chocolate Brownie Thing—an irresistible warm brownie loaded with vanilla ice cream, fudge, caramel, and whipped cream. The classic Root Beer Float, crafted with Village Pub & Cafe’s own root beer and creamy vanilla ice cream, offers a nostalgic sweet finish that brings diners right back to childhood summers.

Patrons appreciate the value Village Pub & Cafe offers too, with sizeable portions that guarantee you’re getting more than what you pay for, especially when combined with the advantageous player’s card and coupon programs. This blend of hearty, well-prepared food, a no-frills yet cozy setting, and genuinely warm service makes the Village Pub & Cafe a cherished institution in the flesh-and-blood fabric of Las Vegas dining.

I want to express my sincere gratitude, first and foremost, to Priscilla, the charming hostess. Her exceptional service, professional demeanor, and genuine care made both of my visits truly special, and I look forward to returning largely because of her outstanding hospitality, as well as the food, of course. Her attentiveness, combined with the restaurant's commitment to quality, consistently transformed our meals into memorable experiences. I would also like to thank the kitchen staff for consistently preparing delicious meals. The excellence in food preparation, combined with the energetic and inviting ambiance, makes this restaurant a place I want to visit again, which reinforces the positive impression created by the front-of-house team. Last but not least, I would like to thank Yen for making me feel so welcome and at home during my initial visit, as well as for her efficiency, care, and delightful service. I would also like to thank Andrew for his excellent service during my second visit. The only minor issue was that the French Onion Soup was a bit overdone on top when it was served to me; however, given the overall positive experience, I chose not to complain about it.

We had a Las Vegas Advisor coupon for this restaurant. And we had always wanted to visit Ellis Island. The restaurant itself is pretty old-school. Not fancy at all, but reminiscent of an earlier era. We had lunch here and ordered the Lumberjack burger and the fish and chips. We also split one of their homemade root beers. The portions were extremely large and very very good. Especially the fish. Our server told us that they bring in whole fish and fillet them on site. They were piping hot and crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The burger was also huge. We didn’t really care for the steak fries, though. The root beer was excellent. We recommend giving the pub a try if you are in the area.

It has been almost 15 years since we went to Ellis Island- back when the T-Bone and the beer was 9.99 and the craps table was a small tub. It’s still the same great place! We had the special, now $14.99! We had soup or salad to start and I got the clam chowder- fantastic! Then the sirloin, green beans and baked potato. I thought for sure the sirloin was going to be tough but it was tender and delicious. It was 12 ounces and so good. I was really impressed! We then played craps for $5 minimum and had a blast. What a great place to watch F1 too. For $100 you watch on the platform and get unlimited food and beer. Now that’s what I’m talking about. Still love Ellis Island. More great memories to share.

Wife n I liked the old school casino cafe feel here. Went for prime rib. We liked it! More than the latest menu pictures I found, so here's what prices are now. We ordered a cheesecake to go after eating and walking around casino and it took 40mins to get it bc hostess forgot about us as we sat waiting. Wife finally went up and asked about it and it had been sitting on her counter for like 30min. Our bad for not going and asking sooner but we were sitting on the waiting sofa the whole time so I ding em on that service.

We both got medium king cut prime rib for $34.99 with potato, garlic green beans &salad. Got buy one get one free with players card & LV Advisor coupon. If you're a local, or visit a lot in a year, that coupon book is gold. $50 per year. Our server Ayanna was kind and friendly. Food came quick. Great food & service! Thanks!

Located just off the Strip, Village Pub is well worth the short walk for high-quality, budget-friendly dining. Food: 5/5 The steak and eggs breakfast at $12.99 was excellent—good-quality steak, eggs cooked to order, and flavorful potatoes served with sourdough toast. My daughter had the kids’ French toast for $7, which was also a great value. The carafe of coffee was a thoughtful and convenient touch. Service: 5/5 Service was quick, friendly, and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Atmosphere: 3/5 The décor felt a bit dated, but the space was very clean, including the washrooms, which were well-maintained and tidy. If you’re looking for a solid, affordable meal just off the Strip, Village Pub delivers. Highly recommended for both value and quality.

This may be one of Vegas best kept secrets. The restaurant is in Ellis Island casino. You receive coupons for their restaurants with game play. The ribs were fall off the bone and the sauce was really good. The steak was cooked to order and very good. All of the sides were very good as well but no way we could finish it all. Two great tasting enormous meals in Vegas for under $30 is a win! It is a block off of the strip, close to the Sphere, and open 24/7 for a good meal before or after a show.
